Biology - Gene Expression Webquest

1. Read over the following PowerPoint and incorporate the definitions for homeotic genes and regulatory proteins into your notes.

 
 2. Go to the PBS website and watch the video. Answer the questions on your answer sheet.

3. Go to the BBC website and watch the video on plants and then read the related article at the University of Exeter's website. Answer the questions on your answer sheet.

4. Go to the Learn Genetics website. Choose one of the following topics to research further, then answer the questions on your answer sheet:

- Prions: On the Trail of Killer Proteins (right column)
- What Makes a Firefly Glow? (middle column)
- The Time of Our Lives (right column)


Extension- if you have time, read the article about fish changing sex.
