The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed. – Albert Einstein

ARE YOU READY?!?!

Welcome, my little scientists, to Biology! This year is going to be a lot of hard work, but you are going to learn so much about all of the amazing things your body can do! In order to succeed this year, you will need to do the following:
  1. Come to class with a good attitude each day (and a smile, if you can manage it).
  2. ASK QUESTIONS and get help when you need it! That's what they pay me for!
  3. I know this sounds like overkill and you won't want to heed my advice, but you should spend at least ten minutes every night REVIEWING what we went over in class. You will not be successful if you don't. Though you may understand most things presented in class, that doesn't mean you will remember it all. Learning biology is like learning a new language, it has to be an everyday part of your life or you will lose it!
  4. Be curious. This is some cool stuff. I promise.
  5. Don't get lazy. Do things in a timely matter. Always strive to do your best. If you do that, I will do everything in my power to help you get there.
Now that you have read all this, remember this sentence: Cells are cool.
